Wazirabad attack: JIT inspects crime scene

The Punjab joint investigation team (JIT) formed to probe the attack on former prime minister Imran Khan on Friday inspected the crime scene in Wazirabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The JIT members including Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore Ghulam Mehmood Dogar, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Dera Ghazi Khan Syed Khurram, SP Potohar Rawalpindi Malik Tariq, and a representative of CTD visited the crime scene.
On November 15, the Punjab government notified a six-member joint investigation team (JIT) to investigate the attack on Imran Khan in Wazirabad on November 3. The joint investigation team has been constituted under the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997.
They held a meeting at Circle Office Wazirabad where the crime scene was discussed. DPO Syed Ghazanfar Ali Shah, Malik Aamir, the public prosecutor, and investigating officer of the case were also present in the meeting. The investigating officer briefed the team about the developments.
