PTI lawmakers stage Parliament-to-Supreme Court protest in Islamabad
Opposition Leader Mehmood Achakzai leads protest: Gohar, Ali Mohammad Khan and other parliamentarians join walk; chanted slogans
Members of the Parliament belonging to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) held a protest walk in Islamabad today, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.
According to the report, PTI's senior party leaders and a good number of workers joined the parliamentarians to express their political grievances in the capital.
The demonstration began outside Parliament House, where participants assembled and marched towards the Supreme Court building.
Opposition Leader Mehmood Khan Achakzai led the rally, walking at the front and addressing supporters intermittently as the crowd moved through the capital’s high-security zone.
Prominent figures, including Allama Raja Nasir Abbas, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Ali Muhammad Khan, Sajid Tareen, and Zain Shah, also joined the protest, adding political weight to the event.
The march gained momentum as it advanced, with participants chanting slogans condemning what they termed “injustice” and calling for transparency and justice.
Islamabad police had placed strict security measures along the route, deploying additional officers to manage traffic and prevent any escalation.
