Thai delegation calls upon Parvez Elahi

A Thai delegation, led by Ambassador Chakkird Krachiwong, called upon acting Punjab Governor Parvez Elahi at the Governor’s House.
Minister Consular Muhammad Lutfee Useng, First Secretary Yahya Wongkanya and Aiyarat kosakul were the delegation members.
During the meeting, measures to cement Pak-Thai ties came under discussion.
Parvez Elahi said that Pakistan and Thailand have strong political and economic relations and these ties will grow.
He stressed the need for boosting trade ties between the two states. He said that increase in trade will boost the national economy for which Special Economic Zones are being established here for facilitating the foreign investors.
The visiting team said Thailand wanted Pak-Thai ties to grow. The Thai companies want to invest in agricultural and food products and the Thai government is working on the project to preserve remnants of Buddha in Taxila Museum, he added.
