The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday announced that the by-election on NA-45, Kurram, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) would be held on October 30, 2022, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Initially, the election was to be held in the constituency, which had fallen vacant following the resignation given by a Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) MNA, on October 16, 2022, but had to be postponed on account of security reasons. 

The contest will be between Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl’s (JUI-F) Jameel Khan and PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
