Punjab CM’s discretionary fund increased by Rs17 billion

It has been decided that the discretionary fund of the Punjab chief minister will be increased by Rs17 billion, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

As per the official sources, the increase will be made in the annual budget on the recommendations of the Chief Minister’s House.

Earlier, Rs10 billion worth of discretionary funds had been allocated in the budget for the ongoing year.

The increased funds will be spent on specific projects with the permission of the chief minister.

Most of the funds are for the constituencies of the members of the Punjab Assembly.

The discretionary funds are released upon the approval of the chief minister.

Additional Rs17 billion will be allocated for specific projects.
