HEC fails to release rankings of universities for past 10 years

The Higher Education Commission has failed to release the rankings of universities for the past 10 years, which has left students and parents in a quandary, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
According to report, the HEC last released the rankings in 2015, according to which Quaid-e-Azam University was first, Punjab University second and National University of Science and Technology was third.
Parents and students rely on the HEC rankings to assess the quality of education, but the same old list is still available on websites.
According to the HEC spokesperson, work is underway on the new rankings and the list will be released on the websites as soon as it is completed.
