Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan on Thursday visited the families of Major Adnan Aslam Shaheed and Captain Taimur Hassan Shaheed to offer condolences and pay tribute to their sacrifices for the nation, 24NewsHD TV reported.
The governor expressed his heartfelt sympathies, offered Fateha for the martyrs and prayed for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks. He said that Major Adnan fought against terrorists with a great courage and sacrificed his life while saving his friend.
The governor praised the bravery of the martyr’s family. He said the nation salutes the martyrs and their families who sacrificed their lives for the country. He said the nation was proud of such brave sons of the soil.
Later, during his visit to the house of Captain Taimur Hassan Shaheed, the Punjab governor offered his condolences and Fateha. He said the nation was enjoying the freedom just because of the sacrifices of martyrs. He said that martyrs’ services would always be remembered.
The Punjab governor reiterated that it was a matter of honour to lay down one’s life for the protection of the country.
