The move came after the federal government on Saturday decided to extend the suspension of international and domestic flight operations till April 30. The decision was in line with the national strategy to stem the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
In a press release issued in Islamabad, a spokesman for the Aviation Division said “As per the decision of the Government of Pakistan, the suspension of international and domestic flight operations as effected earlier has been extended up to Thursday, April 30, this year at 2359 hours PST.”
The spokesman further said that the remaining provisions as applicable to the suspension of international and domestic flights, reflected in the previous orders, would remain unchanged.
Pakistan had suspended international flights operation on March 21 in view of the coronavirus pandemic. The ban on domestic flights operation came a few days later.
