Sindh govt not to use Tiger Force for ration distribution

The Sindh government has decided not to use Prime Minister Imran Khan's Corona Relief Tiger Force for relief operations in the province.
Sindh Energy Minister Imtiaz Shaikh said on Sunday afternoon that the relief operation in Sindh including distribution of ration bags has nothing to do with politics. "No worker of any political party including the PPP will be part of this relief operation," he added.
He said the distribution of ration bags in the province is being carried in a transparent and fair manner.
Earlier, there were reports that the Sindh government has decided to use PM's Tiger Force in its ration distribution scheme, prompting a welcome from the federal government.
Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar in a Facebook post appreciated Sindh government for opting for use of the Tiger Force to use ration bags among poor segments of the society facing hardships due to the coronavirus lockdown.
Usman Dar said, “We welcome the decision of the Sindh government regarding the PM Corona Relief Tigers Force. The Tiger Force will operate beyond a political affiliation with a spirit of human empathy.”

It is pertinent to note that PTI leaders from Karachi severely criticized Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on the distribution of ration among the vulnerable and questioned about the transparency of helping poor amid coronavirus.
Sindh government Services and General Administration Department has written a letter to six commissioners and 29 deputy commissioners of the province.
The notification with subject: ‘Mechanism for better utilization of services of PM’s Corona Relief Tigers (The Volunteers)’ in relief activities at the district level.
The notification said that the services of volunteers may be utilized by the district administration in relief activities by placing them at the disposal of government departments in district police, health, PDMA and public representatives as per need.
