Court reserves verdict on summoning Awn Ch in Imran-Bushra Nikah case

A court in Islamabad Wednesday reserved the judgement on the plea to summon Awn Chaudhry as a witness in the case of legal action against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi for contracting Nikah during Iddat, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Senior Civil Judge Nasr Minallah Baloch heard the case. The petitioner’s lawyer filed a petition for summoning Awn Chaudhry as a witness.
“Awn Chaudhry is a very important witness. The court should call him to record his statement,” lawyer Rizwan Abbasi said while presenting his arguments before the court.
The court reserved its judgement on the plea. The verdict on summoning Awn Chaudhry as a witness will be pronounced on April 27 next.
