Electricity tariff to go up by Rs2.94 per unit

The government has decided to increase the price of electricity once again, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

In this regard, the National Electricity Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has fixed Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) application for hearing on April 26.

According to the report, the increase in electricity price will be done in the context of March fuel price adjustment.

However, CPPA has asked for an increase of Rs2.94 per unit.
