MQM lawmaker Iqbal Mehsud’s daughter dies after stray bullet injury in Karachi

The 18-year-old daughter of Iqbal Khan Mehsud, a lawmaker from Muttahida Qaumi Movement, has died during treatment after being struck by a stray bullet, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday. 

According to a statement shared on his official facebook page, the deceased, identified as Mah Noor Gulshan Iqbal, had been under treatment at a private hospital after sustaining a gunshot wound from an unknown direction a day earlier.

Despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries, the statement said.

The news was shared with “deep sorrow and grief,” the family added, noting that details regarding the funeral prayers would be announced later.

The incident highlights ongoing concerns over public safety in parts of Karachi, where stray bullet injuries have periodically claimed lives.
