Hockey Asia Cup 2025 draw announced; Pakistan and Oman miss out

The official draw for the Hockey Asia Cup has been unveiled, with the tournament set to begin on August 29 in Bihar, India, 24NewsHD TV reported on Tuesday. 

The Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) has revealed the schedule, with Bangladesh and Kazakhstan replacing Pakistan and Oman in the eight-team tournament.

The teams have been divided into two groups for the event, which starts on August 29.

Group A includes India, Japan, China, and Kazakhstan, whereas Group B includes Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Chinese Taipei.

It is worth noting that the Hockey Asia Cup also serves as a qualifying event for the FIH Hockey World Cup, scheduled to take place in Belgium and the Netherlands in 2026.
