NCCIA cracks down on call centre over alleged cybercrimes in Islamabad

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has launched a crackdown against a call centre involved in cybercrimes in Islamabad’s Sector I-10/3, seizing electronic devices and other material, reported 24NewsHD TV.

According to the NCCIA, an investigation has been initiated against the call centre operating under the name “Aufo Group” over alleged cybercrimes.

The agency said evidence was recovered suggesting that individuals were allegedly involved in seducing conversations and video-based activities. The call centre was also allegedly involved in fake and financial fraud through electronic means.

The NCCIA said electronic devices and other material linked to the suspected activities were seized during the raid.

An FIR No. 136/2026 has been registered against the call centre under various sections of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) and the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).

According to officials, investigations are underway to determine the identities of those involved, including the possible role of foreign nationals.

The NCCIA said 276 foreign nationals from different countries were found during the operation. The group included 69 Vietnamese, 71 Indonesian, 47 Thai, one Vanuatuan and 14 Myanmar nationals.

Meanwhile, 42 Chinese nationals were shifted to holding centres, while another 32 Chinese nationals were also found during the operation.
