Uncle and nephew shot dead after returning from court hearing in Phalia

An uncle and his nephew were shot dead while returning to their village after appearing in court in Phalia, Mandi Bahauddin district.

The incident took place near Sera on Qadirabad Road, where unidentified attackers opened fire on their car. The victims were returning home from court when they were targeted.

Police said 48-year-old Zafar Iqbal Gondal and his 30-year-old nephew Hasnain Gondal were killed at the scene, while another person was injured in the attack.

The attackers fled the scene after the shooting. District Police Officer Mandi Bahauddin reached the area with a police team after receiving information about the incident.

The bodies were shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for post-mortem examinations, while police launched an investigation and began efforts to arrest the suspects.
