A transgender person was killed while another got hurt in a firing on Taj Chowk in Mingora on Sunday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to police, accused Nawab who belongs to Matta opened fire on two trans persons: Usama alias Mah Noor and Israr alias Gulalai on Taj Chowk. As a result, Mah Noor died on the spot while Gulalai sustained injuries and was shifted to hospital.

Police said accused Nawab managed to flee after shooting. 

Mah Noor belonged to Karachi while Gulalai hailed from Mardan. They both lived on Sohrab Chowk in Mingora.
