First flight lands after new runway at Karachi Airport becomes operational

New runway at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport became operational for flights from Thursday after inaugural flight landed, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
First flight was given water salute by Pakistan Airports Authority.
Largest Airbus 380 aircraft will be able to land on the main runway now.
Runway upgradation work was completed within 18 months deadline.
After completion of runway 07L/25R, classification (4F) upgraded
