Criminal law expert Solicitor Muhammad Shafiq Chaudhry taking to 24News HD TV Channel in London said at the request of the FIA, the UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA) has the right to act under money laundering and malicious communication act.
He said the NCA can look at the source of the money seen in the videos as well as the wording of the video. If the NCA is not satisfied with the source of the money seen in the videos, then action has been taken against both the parties, he added.
Solicitor Shafiq said under the malicious communication act, the NCA will review the words spoken in the videos and if the words will against the laws, legal action will be taken against both parties.
The Britain solicitor also said that following the FIA's letter, it is now the NCA's prerogative to take action or ignore it.
