Met department forecast a rainy Eid day in country

As per the weather report, a rainy spell is expected to hit the country during Eid days. The spell will start on Sunday night and continue till Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

The low-lying areas in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Kasur, Faisalabad, Peshawar and Nowshera are feared to be submerged during rains. While the heavy sleet might cause landslides in Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The meteorological office also issued a warning of a dust storm which might cause damage in the upper parts of the county. It also cautioned the local population residing near the river banks as the inflow of water in the rivers might be increased.

It also issued a travel warning asking passengers and tourists to take care as transport and communication means will be affected during the heavy rainy spell ahead.

There is thunderstorm/dust storm and rain forecast in Kashmir, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Okara, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Sargodha, Mianwali, Khushab, Dir, Swat, Buner, Kohistan, Shangla, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Mardan, Swabi, Charsadda, Nowshera, Peshawar, Waziristan, Kurram, Bannu, Kohat, Lukky Marwat, Tank, Karak, Dera Ismail Khan and Gilgit-Baltistan (Ghazar, Astawar, Diamir, Skardu, Gilgit, Hunza Nagar, Ganchi and Khurming).

From Monday till Thursday

There is also a thunderstorm/dust storm and rain prediction in Bhakkar, Layyah, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Multan, Khanewal, Sahiwal, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Sibbi, Nasirabad, Jafarabad, Kohlo, Loralai, Barkhan, Zhob, Musa Khel, Quetta, Ziarat, Harnai, Qila Saifullah, Qila Abdullah, Larkana, Sukkur, Jacobabad, Tharparkar, Sanghar, Umar Kot and Pir Pur Khas.

From Monday to Wednesday

The weather report issued a flood warning in seasonal nullahs and streams due to heavy rains in Shangla, Buner, Batagram, Mansehra, Balakot, Abbottabad, Swat, Kohistan, Mardan, Charsadda, Kohat, Kashmir, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Narowal and Dera Ghazi Khan.
