Nine terrorists killed in Hangu police operation, DPO and SHO injured

Nine terrorists were killed in a police operation against Khwarij in different areas of Hangu on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to police, during the exchange of fire between police and terrorists, District Police Officer Muhammad Khalid and an SHO got injured and have been shifted to District Headquarters Hospital in Peshawar.
In a statement, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Hameed said that operation was launched against terrorists in Shanaori border area of Hangu,
The KP IG said DPO Hangu injured in operation against terrorists.
DPO Hangu Khalid Khan hit by three bullets, IG Zulfiqar Hameed said.
He said DPO Khalid Khan was immediately shifted to Kohat CMH. Doctors indicated to refer to Peshawar if necessary, IG Zulfiqar Hameed added.
He said several terrorists injured during operation and several have been killed.
KP IG said DPO Hangu's condition is out of danger now and I talked to DPO, his morale is high.
The KP IG said operations against terrorists is continuing.
Meanwhile, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi contacted injured DPO Muhammad Khalid, inquired about the well-being of the DPO and appreciated the high morale.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to DPO Hangu Muhammad Khalid and his entire team.
Mohsin Naqvi said police bravely killed five terrorists of Fitna-ul-Hindustan.
President Zardari commends Hangu police
President Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday commended the police force for killing nine Khwarij terrorists during Hangu operation.
The president also prayed for the early recovery of injured District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Khalid and SHO Nabi Khan, President Secretariat Press Wing said in a press release issued in Islamabad.
The president said that terrorists wanted to sabotage peace and stability which could not be allowed, adding the nation was united and the scourge of terrorism would be defeated at all costs.
He also reiterated the resolve that the State would continue its efforts with full force to root out terrorism.
