Man spares niece, sets her paramour to fire in Shujabad

A man set to fire his niece’s paramour in the Lohari Gate area of Shujabad on the suspicion of their having an illicit relationship, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

Reportedly, accused Shaukat scalded a 22 years old youth, Hamza, in Shujabad tehsil of Punjab on suspicion of his having an illicit relationship with his niece. 

According to police, Hamza belonged to Mailsi and came to Lahori Gate in Shujabad for the purpose of doing business here. But Shaukat suspected that he was involved in illegitimate relationship with his niece. Infuriated, he got Hamza and subjected him to severe torture with the help of his accomplices. He shaved off his head and moustache. He doused him with petrol, and ignited fire.

There were no reports about what happened to Shaukat’s niece. 

On hearing Hamza’s screams, the residents rushed to his rescue. On seeing people rushing to help Hamza, the accused fled the scene. 

Police said Hamza’s body was badly injured by burns. He also got burn wounds on his chest and hands. 

The residents called the emergency 15 police rescue service. Then policemen from Raja Ram police station also arrived on the scene, who shifted the 22 years old to Civil Hospital in critical condition.

Police registered a case against the accused and were raiding the area for the arrest of the culprits.
