Rawalpindi citizen receives ransom money call from Afghanistan landline number

A resident of Rawalpindi has got a call from an extortion mafia gang member who called him from an Afghanistan landline number and demanded ransom money worth Rs one million, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
An FIR has been registered in Mandra police station against the unknown accused for extortion and threatening serious consequences on behalf of Munir Ahmed Butt.
The caller even gave all the family details of the Rawalpindi citizen. As per FIR, the accused member of the ransom mafia introduced himself as an operative of the banned terrorist organization.
As per FIR, the ransom mafia approached the citizen through WhatsApp messages and voice notes and demanded to pay extortion of rupees one million otherwise warned of dire consequences. The citizen said when he blocked the number of the caller then he was now receiving threats from another number.
