Three more cases registered against PTI leadership, workers

Three more cases have been registered against PTI leadership and its workers after the anti-encroachment operation launched by the authorities at Zaman Park.
The PTI workers attacked the police officials and smashed their vehicles.
One case was registered on the complaint of constable Shafiq who was subjected to torture by PTI workers.
According to the FIR, the constable was beaten severely by as many as 40 PTI workers when he was going back after finishing his duty.
The second case was registered on the complaint of an Elite Force official against PTI activists for throwing the Elite Force vehicle into the canal.
Terrorism, attempt to murder, dacoity and other stern sections have been inserted in the FIR.
Another case was registered against PTI leaders and workers for launching an attack on a police team which had reached Zaman Park to arrest the accused.
The FIR was lodged with the Race Course police station on the complaint of inspector Zulfiqar Ali.
Police included terrorism, illegal weapons, attempt to murder and other hard sections in the case.
According to the FIR, 13 police officials including a DSP were injured when PTI workers pelted them with stones.
Police nominated 102 accused and arrested 76 others in the case.
The law personnel recovered 8 rifles, hundreds of bullets and petrol bombs from the possession of PTI workers.
The FIR also alleged that the PTI leadership had called some suspicious armed persons from tribal areas.
