Defence Minister Khawaja Asif Wednesday took a veiled dig at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan and blamed him for blackmailing the state constantly, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

“One person has poisoned the whole environment. He has been blackmailing the state constantly,” the defence minister said while expressing his views on the floor of the National Assembly.

“Our society is not democratic. We all have to work together on national issues,” he stressed.

“Everything was destroyed due to the flood. People are living under the open sky,” he pointed out.

While commenting on the reaction of the people to the rising crimes in Swat, Khawaja Asif said that the people of Swat came out in large numbers for their rights.

“The battle for power can be fought later. The provincial government should solve the problems of the people,” he emphasised.
