Japan grants 794m yen to rebuild edu facilities in Sindh flood-hit areas

Japan will give a grant of 794 million Japanese yen for rebuilding educational facilities in the flood-affected areas in Sindh, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

An agreement has been signed between Pakistan and Japan, according to the Economic Affairs Division (EED).

The money will be allocated for reconstructing educational facilities in flood-hit areas in Sindh.

The purpose of the grant is to deal with the challenges faced by the educational infrastructure in the province in the 2022 floods.

Nine completely damaged school buildings in six districts of the province will be rebuilt.

Rebuilding schools will help ensure a safe environment for students.

Special attention will be given to increasing girls’ access to education.
