Two people were shot dead when they offered resistance to a robbery bid in Phalia on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The incident took place near Kot Sattar flyover in the limits of Pahryanwali police station of Phalia where the robbers gunned down two people mounted on a bike when they put up resistance to them.

The dead were identified as 26-year-old Rana Fayyaz and 24-year-old Saqib Tarar.

Later, police, personnel of the Crime Scene Unit and Rescue officials reached the site of the incident.

Although robberies are almost a daily occurrence in the area, still there is no police patrolling to ward off the bandits.
