Pakistan Army’s UN peacekeeper buried with military honours

Pakistan Army’s UN peacekeeper Havaldar Muhammad Shafiq was laid to rest in Mian Channu, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Havaldar Muhammad Shafiq of the Pakistan Army embraced Shahadat while serving in United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in the Central African Republic (CAR), said a statement issued by the ISPR on Thursday morning.
The funeral prayers of the Pakistani soldier was offered at his native town in Mian Channu, Khanewal. The shaheed soldier was buried with full military honours.
Havaldar Muhammad Shafiq joined the UN Mission in February 2021.
He was a brave and dedicated member of the Pakistani contingent ensuring the protection of civilians in CAR and facilitating the delivery of humanitarian assistance.
So far, 162 Pakistani peacekeepers have laid down their lives as part of the global mission for international peace and stability.
Havaldar Muhammad Shafiq is survived by his wife and three sons, the ISPR statement added.
