Lucky Ali divorces Anjuman

Lucky Ali, second husband of Anjuman, one of the top actresses of yesteryears, has divorced her.

Ali and Anjuman got married in Lahore on June 17 last year. Anjuman’s first husband Mubeen Malik was assassinated in Lahore in 2013. He was a former grade-21 income tax officer and she has three children from her first marriage.

Later, Anjuman tied the knot with Wasim, aka, Lucky Ali, who is a film director and producer by profession. Ali gifted her an automobile and a house at the time of their marriage. Ali however refused to talk about the factors leading to their divorce.

The wedding ceremony of Ali and 64 years old Anjuman, one of the most successful actresses of the Punjabi cinema, was attended only by close relatives and friends. The couple later publicly confirmed their marriage. Anjuman had told the media at that time she was happy because she was starting a new journey.

Anjuman is known for her roles opposite legendary Punjabi film actor Sultan Rahi. She also starred in non-Punjabi films with leading actors like Nadeem, Waheed Murad and Mohammad Ali.

Anjuman shot to stardom in the 1980s and 1990s after shot got roles in Punjabi movies like Wadey Ki Zanjeer, Sher Khan, Chan Varyam and Jeedar.
