Arshad Sharif JIT returns to Pakistan

The joint investigation team (JIT) returned back to Pakistan after collecting evidences in Kenya and UAE in the murder case of journalist Arshad Sharif, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

The five-member JIT will prepare its report and submit it to the Supreme Court this week. 

It merits here to mention that the five-member special JIT led by DIG Headquarters Awais Ahmed consisted of Deputy DG Sajid Kayani from Intelligence Bureau (IB), Muhammad Aslam from the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Waqaruddin Syed, and  Murtaza Afzal from the Military Intelligence (MI).

Apart from the five-member team, investigating inspector of the case Muhammad Shahbaz was also with the team in Dubai and Kenya. 

The team left for Dubai on January 12 and stopped there for a week for investigation. After a week of inquiry, the JIT headed to Kenya for further investigation.
