A Pakistan Navy ship, PNS SAIF, has visited the port of Colombo in Sri Lanka as part of its regional maritime patrol, according to a statement by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Friday.

The ship was warmly received by the host naval officers and Pakistani diplomatic officials at the port.

The commanding officer of PNS SAIF held important meetings with senior officials of the Sri Lankan Navy and discussed issues of mutual interest, including the promotion of bilateral maritime cooperation.

The Pakistan Navy ship also participated in a joint naval exercise with the Sri Lankan Navy, demonstrating the strong maritime ties between the two countries.

The visit of PNS SAIF to Sri Lanka is part of the Pakistan Navy's regular deployment on Regional Maritime Patrols, which aim to ensure maritime security and safe movement of ships at sea.
