For the first time in Pakistan, a transgender designer has introduced a boutique ‘Diya Fashion’ in DHA Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The transgender designer ‘Diya’ founded the boutique after facing numerous hardships.  She aims to make her mark and represent her community, with the release of her first luxury ready-to-wear clothing line.

Diya, the designer in question, has struggled a lot to find a place to live for quite some time. She revealed that it had been hard for her to find a respectable place in society due to her status as a transgender woman.

Diya said that despite having family support, she has faced many difficulties and now wants to live a life of respect and make her boutique [Diya Fashion] a successful brand.

For a long time, I felt being transgender in Pakistani society was a curse; something to be shameful for”. However, after a long journey, she was able to restore her lost self-belief and confidence.

Along with the bitter and inhuman attitudes of society, the economic condition of transgenders is also very bad.

In such a situation, if someone wants to fulfill his dreams, then we should support and support his dreams, she added.
