SC rejects plea for appointments under KP Sacked Employees Act

The Supreme Court on Monday rejected the petition filed for appointments under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Sacked Employees Act, 2012, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

“You have approached the court with a delay of 14 days?” Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial questioned the lawyer of the petitioner.

“We came to know about the decision late,” the petitioner’s lawyer replied.

“Two employees of the Education Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were dismissed after three years of service,” he informed the chief justice.

“The Peshawar High Court rejected the appeals of the employees against the dismissal,” he added.

“The petitioner employees were posted in the Education Department on a temporary basis,” he informed further.

A three-member bench, headed by Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial, had heard the case.

SC accepts Balochistan govt’s appeal for hearing

The Supreme Court on Monday accepted an appeal of the Balochistan government against the decision of the Balochistan High Court (BHC).

The appeal was accepted for hearing in the case against the appointment of the special assistants to the Balochistan chief minister.

The court issued notices to the respondents in the case.
