Federal Cabinet to mull doubling power tariff for commercial areas

The federal cabinet meeting began in Islamabad Thursday and is expected to mull a proposal to double the electricity tariff for commercial areas after fixed official timings, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired the meeting in which five-point agenda for has been tabled. 

The report about power breakdown will also be presented during the federal cabinet meeting. The Power Division will brief the federal cabinet about line losses and power pilfering.

The National Clear Air policy will also be presented before the cabinet. 

The cabinet will also ratify the January 6 decisions taken by Cabinet Committee on Legislative Cases (CCLC). 

Establishment of National University of Pakistan bill will also be part of the agenda for the federal cabinet.
