The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of Pakistan has issued a new travel advisory for Pakistanis and foreigners coming to Pakistan amid the increasing number of coronavirus cases in the country. 

In the new travel advisory, the CAA has eliminated A and B categories, which were meant to facilitate visitors from various countries, and kept the ban on entry of people from 23 countries in the C category intact. People coming from all other countries would have to under coronavirus tests and remain quarantined until arrival of their test reports. 

The CAA has made it mandatory for Pakistanis returning home from different countries to get tested for coronavirus 72 hours before taking their flight. All people coming to Pakistan will have to undergo rapid antigen test at all Pakistani international airports. Passengers who will need to be quarantined will bear the cost of their quarantine period on their own. 

Even Pakistani citizens won’t be allowed entry into the country from the C category countries such as Brazil, India, South Africa and Zimbabwe. Only NCOC can allow a person from C category countries to enter Pakistan.
