Jail officials demand special perks following PM’s visit to Kot Lakhpat

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore has turned out to be a blessing for the Prisons Department officials as a summary has been sent to the government for the grant of special perks and allowances to Grade 1 to 17 jail officials, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

It is learnt that a summary for the purchase of vehicles for officials ranked from IG Prisons to deputy superintendent, provision of ambulances for prisoners in every jail, and grant of special allowance to jail officials above grade 17 has been sent to the government.

Moreover, a notification for the upgradation of jail employees, pending for last four months, has also been issued.
