CM launches ‘Ehsaas Ration Riayat’ programme in Punjab

Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi Sunday launched “Ehsaas Ration Riayat” programme by inaugurating “Riayat Ration Store” in Shadman Market, Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

While addressing the inauguration ceremony, the Punjab chief minister said that a subsidy of Rs100 billion would be provided to as many as 8 million families.

“40 per cent discount will be available on the purchase of flour, ghee and pulses,” Pervaiz Elahi announced.

“Deserving people will be able to get their names registered by sending through SMS the numbers of their ID cards on 8123,” he added.

“Citizens can also get their names registered on the web portal of Ehsaas Punjab,” he stated.

Ehsaas Programme Chairperson Dr Sania Nishtar, Adviser to Punjab CM on Information Omar Sarfaraz Cheema, and Chief Secretary Abdullah Sumbal were present in the inauguration ceremony.
