Drunk officer beats female senior for not approving transfer of his choice

An enforcement inspector of Lahore’s Ravi Zone, under the influence of alcohol, allegedly beat his senior lady officer for not approving a transfer of his choice, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

According to the First Information Report (FIR) lodged at Lorry Adda police station, lady officer Paaris Zubair, DMO, alleged that enforcement inspector Wasif Ayub Butt harassed her and subjected her to torture.

She also alleged that the accused slapped her repeatedly and also hurled life threats at her under the influence of alcohol.

The staff of the lady officer intervened and saved her life, read the text of the FIR.

The police registered a case against the inspector under different provisions including murder attempt and interference in government’s affairs.
