Govt Indus Hospital Kahna’s condition annoys CM Naqvi

Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday visited the Government Indus Hospital Kahna and expressed his displeasure over the state of cleanliness at the hospital, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The chief minister was livid when he saw stains of blood on bedsheets and that air-conditioners in different wards of the hospital were not functional.

Similarly, washrooms were not in good shape either.

Besides that he was also shocked to see that in some wards doctors were absent. And even where they were present, their attitude towards the patients was pathetic.

Patients and their attendants, on the occasion, complained to him about the attitude of doctors as well as paramedical staff. They also told him about delay in their checkup.

When the CM asked the staff about the number of patients admitted at the hospital, they did not give him exact figures.

The chief minister was indignant to find the state of affairs at the hospital and scolded the staff for that.

He also went round different wards, including emergency, children’s ward, surgical orthopedic, lab and pharmacy.

CM telephoned the secretary health on the spot and expressed his displeasure over the condition of the hospital.
