Punjab Cooperative Board recovers land worth Rs80 billion

The Punjab Cooperative Board for Liquidation has reclaimed a staggering sum of Rs80 billion through the retrieval of 643 kanal and 8 marla land.

This triumph was formally acknowledged as the board submitted its progress report before the Lahore High Court.

Presiding over the legal proceedings, Justice Masood Abid Naqvi expressed satisfaction upon reviewing the comprehensive report detailing the extensive efforts that led to the successful recovery of the cooperative board's valuable land assets.

In a decisive move, Justice Naqvi issued a meticulously worded written order, formally validating the board's recovery initiatives.

The recovery process, undertaken by the Punjab Cooperative Board, spanned from November 24, 2022, to August 15, 2023, a period during which the board left no stone unturned in its pursuit of justice. The commendable results of these efforts were most evident in the restoration of land situated in various regions including Lahore, Sialkot, Gujarat, and Gujranwala.

While acknowledging the monumental strides taken, Justice Masood Abid Naqvi directed the Cooperative Board to persevere in their endeavors, urging them to continue their relentless pursuit of land recovery.

The determination exhibited by Justice Naqvi played a pivotal role in the successful retrieval of land assets worth an impressive Rs20 billion, in addition to the monumental Rs 80 billion feat achieved by the board.
