Govt officers transferred, posted
The federal government on Wednesday issued orders for appointment, transfer and retirement of several officers.
The federal government has appointed Major General Umar Farid as Additional Secretary (One) Defence Division. Major General Umar Farid will relieve his predecessor, Additional Secretary Major General Amir Ashfaq Kayani.
The services of Saira Imdad Ali of the Commerce and Trade Group, posted in the Commerce Division in Grade 20, have been handed over to the National School of Public Policy, Lahore.
Meanwhile, after the approval of the prime minister, Akbar Ali Rabbani has been appointed Senior Manager Procurement, Digital Economy Enhancement Project. Akbar Ali Rabbani has been appointed on a contract for two years.
According to other notifications, the appointment of Joint Secretary Poverty Alleviation Division Shahzad Nawaz Cheema as Director General Privatization Commission has been cancelled and he has been directed to report to the Establishment Division.
Assistant Professor Maimuna Shahzadi has been sent to the Higher Education Department of Azad Kashmir on deputation. The government has entrusted the responsibility to the Federal Directorate of Education.
Furthermore, the federal government has issued retirement orders for Deputy Secretary Law and Justice Division Shafiq Ahmed on November 8, 2025 this year and Deputy Secretary Establishment Division Rubina Akhtar on April 30, 2026 next year. Both the Deputy Secretaries are retiring on completing the age of 60 years in government service.
