Three prisoners die at Gujrat District Jail in a single day

Three prisoners died in a single day at the Gujrat District Jail on Sunday.

First of these prisoners was admitted to the hospital three days ago and passed away on Sunday. 

The second prisoner suffered a heart attack and could not survive. The third prisoner was suffering from AIDS. His health deteriorated on Sunday and he died when he was being shifted to the hospital. 

These prisoners were identified as 18 years old Qaiser Shah of Bhagowal, 60 years old Amjad Pervez of Mararriyan and 50 years old Khalid Hussain. Shah has been in the jail for a murder, while Hussain was linked to a drugs case. 

Gujrat District Jail Superintendent Malik Liaquat said the aforementioned prisoners were suffering from AIDS, asthma, and heart diseases and they were receiving treatment at the Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Hospital.
