Top-notch Bollywood actor, Shahid Kapoor has shared a video of himself getting injured due to a ball hitting his face during the shooting of the novel sports movie, as the star received 25 stitches around his lips.

Taking to Instagram, Shahid Kapoor dropped a short clip of himself in which one of the most celebrated stars of the industry is seen getting injured, after receiving a ball near his lips, during the film shoot. Moreover, in the video, fellow stars were seen cleaning the blood with their hands.

As a result, the actor's fans also expressed their grief and sorrow. One of the followers wrote: ‘‘I don't like. Cricket, but I love u’ and another penned’’: ‘‘Kabir Singh turning to Virat Kohli’’.

Shahid Kapoor was severely injured when the ball hit him during the shooting of the sports film 'Jersey' and he received 25 stitches around his lips. During the shooting on the film set, Shahid Kapoor tried to bat like a professional cricketer but in this attempt he injured himself.

He was rushed to a hospital where 25 stitches were placed around his lips. The shooting of the film was suspended for several weeks after the incident.

It is relevant to mention that the film 'Jersey' has been made under the direction of Gom Tenanuri in which Anam Gul performed his duties as a producer.
