Dense fog that engulfed most areas of Punjab on Saturday morning, badly affecting flight operations at Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIA), Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the Lahore Airport Inquiry Office, more than fifteen flights were affected, and three flights were diverted to Islamabad International Airport.

Dozens of Dubai-bound flights failed to depart due to severe rains and poor weather conditions.

Flights of Saudi Arabian Airlines, Etihad Airways, and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) were diverted to Islamabad for landing.

The flights of Saudi Arabian Airlines, Etihad Airways, and Airblue departed after a delay of four hours.

Airport Authority said that poor weather conditions are the main reason for flight departures and arrivals.
