UHS releases provisional order of merit for private medical colleges
MBBS admission merit expected above 78%; first selection list to be announced on Dec 24
The University of Health Sciences (UHS) on Saturday released the provisional merit list for admissions to the MBBS programme in 33 private medical colleges across Punjab, 24NewsHD TV reported.
According to a UHS spokesperson, a total of 7,857 candidates applied for admission to private sector medical colleges this year.
The provisional merit list has been uploaded on the university’s official website, where candidates can check their position.
UHS has also provided an opportunity for applicants to submit objections regarding the provisional merit list up to December 23.
The spokesperson said that all objections will be reviewed carefully, after which the final merit list will be issued on the evening of December 23.
As part of the college allocation process, the first selection list is scheduled to be announced on December 24.
This year, the minimum closing merit for MBBS admissions in private medical colleges is expected to remain around 78.8 per cent.
It is worth noting that a total of 4,350 MBBS seats are available in 33 private medical colleges in Punjab.
The entire admission process is being conducted under the supervision of UHS to ensure transparency and fairness.
