Prime Minister Imran Khan’s sister-in-law has been appointed to the Higher Education Commission (HEC), sources say. 

According to the sources, First Lady Bushra Bibi’s sister Maryam Riaz Wattoo has been appointed coordinator of a development project at the Higher Education Commission (HEC) against a salary of hundreds of thousands of rupees. However, sources say, the appointment has been made on merit. 

Maryam has been the director of the University of United Arab Emirates, UAE, before she returned to Pakistan.
