A jirga has totally banned the playing of music in Solarzai Tehsil of District Bajaur, announcing a complete social boycott of the person who arranged any music ceremony, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The local Jirga also vowed that nobody will attend any kind of function whether it is related to a celebration or mourning of the person or the family who plays music in any village. Even the ulema will not solemnize their Nikahs, the Jirga added.

The joint declaration all called for social boycott of such people who would invited musicians at the ceremonies in their houses.

The member of the village will attend such a wedding decorated with a music function, the Jirga declared.
