PTI trying to destabilize country: Attaullah Tarar

Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar has stated that Pakistan is progressing towards new heights of development, with clear economic improvements and positive economic indicators, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Speaking at a press conference, he highlighted a 32% increase in remittances, attributing this growth to the crucial role of overseas Pakistanis in supporting the national economy.

However, he also took aim at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), accusing the party of working against national interests.

"On one hand, overseas Pakistanis are responsibly contributing to the economy, while on the other, a mischievous group is spreading hostility and division," he remarked.

Tarar strongly criticized the events of May 9, alleging that PTI supporters attacked defense installations, set fire to Jinnah House, and desecrated monuments of martyrs.

He questioned, "What enmity could they possibly have with those who sacrificed their lives for Pakistan?"

Further escalating his criticism, the minister accused PTI’s founding chairman of supporting terrorists and following an "enemy agenda."

He pointed out that PTI had written a letter to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which he described as an act of betrayal against Pakistan's economic stability.

Referring to the Army Chief’s recent visit to the UK, Tarar said he received a warm welcome, which has enhanced Pakistan’s international standing.

He accused PTI of running social media campaigns to undermine the visit, claiming that "a handful of miscreants are attempting to tarnish Pakistan’s reputation, but patriotic citizens have rejected their agenda."

He warned that strict legal action would be taken against individuals harming Pakistan's integrity. "No matter how hard you try, Pakistan will continue to progress, and your sinister attempts will fail," he declared.
