Coronavirus continues to prey on big guns

As the coronavirus infections soared on a faster rate in Pakistan, the Covid-19 spread also taking its toll on the top politicians and government officers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

Fully vaccinated plus jabbed with a booster shot, still, National Assembly’s Public Accounts Committee (PAC) Chairman Rana Tanveer tested positive for the coronavirus.

Rana Tanveer, who contracted COVID-19 on Thursday, said that he was fully vaccinated and also got the booster shot.

He said he was feeling alright as coronavirus symptoms were mild.

His corona report came back positive and subsequently he quarantined himself at his home.

Rana Tanveer requested people to pray for his early recovery.

Earlier, in the day former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa minister Akbar Ayub Khan also contracted COVID-19. His corona report came back positive and subsequently he quarantined himself at his home.

Akbar Ayub Khan elected as MPA from Haripur in 2018 general elections. Akbar Ayub Khan was also contracted COVID-19 last year.

He requested people to pray for his early recovery from the coronavirus. 

The Covid-19 also made his present felt at Islamabad High Court and the Judicial Complex as Special Judge Central Muhammad also contracted coronavirus along with four members of the court staff.

IHC Assistant Registrar Asad Khan was also a victim of the Covid-19. 

Three estate counsellors of Advocate General Office were also tested positive for Covid-19.
