The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) has a weekly report on inflation registering another increase in inflation by 0.8 percent, 24News HD TV Channel reported on Friday. 
The overall rate of inflation in the country was recorded at 31.83 percent by PBS. 
According to the data issued by PBS, out of the 51 monitored items during the week ended January 20, 2023, the average price of 23 items increased, 11 items decreased whereas 17 items registered no change during the week.
In one week, the price of chicken per kg has increased by Rs11 and the price of Basmati rice has increased by Rs5.36 per kilogram. The price of onion increased by Rs7.91 per kilogram while the rate of an LPG cylinder of 11.6 kilograms has been increased by Rs62.
