NAB determined to eradicate all forms of corruption: Javed Iqbal

NAB Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal has said that the bureau is determined to eradicate all forms of corruption and will deal with the looters of billions of rupees of innocent Pakistanis in accordance with the law, reported 24News HD TV channel on Sunday.

In a statement, the NAB chairman said that five percent of global GDP was lost to corruption every year, costing the world 2.6 trillion dollars a year. He said that NAB would the bureau had, directly and indirectly, recovered Rs533 billion from 2018 to 2020. He said since the inception of the bureau, it had recovered Rs814 billion collectively. He said the bureau would continue to give priority to the fight against corruption. He said they believe in ending all forms of corruption. 

The NAB chairman said that corruption was the root of all problems in Pakistan. The NAB looks at the case, not the face. The NAB does not belong to any individual or political party, it belongs to Pakistan, he said and added that the NAB would do its best to eradicate the menace of corruption from the country.
